Dr Clare Straker, BDent (USyd)
Dr Clare Straker grew up in Woy Woy and as a child had a heart to help people. From as early as she can remember, she wanted to work in the medical field, and her passion to study dentistry became apparent when she started to work as a Dental Assistant whilst at high school. Dr Clare grew up in Woy Woy and went on to study her Bachelor of Dentistry at Sydney University.
Ocean Dental Woy Woy was opened in 2013 – the second dental practice that Dr Clare and her husband Andrew opened together. We have been caring for our community of Woy Woy for over ten years now. In that time, we have come to know our patient base and their families with great familiarity. We love to make healthy smiles that last from children to the elderly.
Dr Clare takes the time to build great rapport with all ages and lifestyles of her patients. She makes anxious people feel at ease and strives to encourage her patients to take control of their oral health decisions. We focus on preventative lifelong care to maintain overall health and wellbeing. We aim to have you looking fantastic and feeling comfortable and confident with your smile.
Dr Kevin Rung, DMD (UWA)
Dentist
Dr Kevin Rung graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2019 from UWA. He also has an undergraduate degree, receiving a Bachelor of Medical Science at UNSW. He grew up on the Central Coast and went to Central Coast Grammar School, before moving to Shore Grammar in North Sydney. Dr Kevin spent 3.5 years working as a dentist in rural Tasmania, before permanently relocating to Sydney to be closer to his friends and family.
Dr Kevin also has a Diploma in Orthodontics from OrthoEd and has a special interest in restorative/cosmetic dentistry, including braces/clear aligners and porcelain crowns (especially CEREC crowns). Dr Kevin has also done multiple further courses in Australia and overseas; each year, he takes many advanced courses to stay at the top of the dentistry field.
Dr Kevin loves living in Sydney and enjoys travelling.
