Welcome to our dental clinic! Our entire team is looking forward to meeting you and helping your family achieve the healthy and attractive smiles that you deserve.
Dr Clare Straker, BDent (USyd)
Dr Clare grew up in Woy Woy and as a child had a heart to help people. From as early as she can remember, she wanted to work in the medical field, and her passion to study dentistry became apparent when she started to work as a Dental Assistant whilst at high school. Dr Clare grew up in Woy Woy and went on to study her Bachelor of Dentistry at Sydney University.
Fast forward a few years and Ocean Dental Woy Woy was opened – the second dental practice that Dr Clare and her husband Andrew opened together. We have been caring for our community of Woy Woy for over seven years now. In that time, we have come to know our patient base and their families with great familiarity. We love to make healthy smiles that last from children to the elderly.
Dr Clare is continually studying to keep up with the ever-changing environment of dentistry, using the latest techniques and technology to bring you the best patient care. She has a special interest in growth, development, function and breathing to assist with jaw size, shape and position for optimum health and orthodontic outcomes. Dr Clare completed her General Orthodontic Residency in 2015 under the guidance of Dr Steve Galella from the USA.
Dr Clare takes the time to build great rapport with all ages and lifestyles of her patients. She makes anxious people feel at ease and strives to encourage her patients to take control of their oral health decisions. We focus on preventative lifelong care to maintain overall health and wellbeing. We aim to have you looking fantastic and feeling comfortable and confident with your smile.
Dr Aarushi Joshi
Dr Joshi, born and raised in Sydney, earned her dental degree from University of Adelaide and joined the Ocean Dental Woy Woy team in 2017.
She is passionate about dentistry and loves connecting with patients in our practice. A great sense of accomplishment comes from finding treatment plans that work for her patients. Constant challenges and advancements in dentistry keep her job interesting. She constantly improves her skills and keeps up to date with new research and ideas.
Through her practice, she strives to provide the most reliable dental care to all of her patients. Not only does Dr Joshi take into account their needs and circumstances, but she also provides them with the education they need to maintain good oral health.
At Ocean Dental Woy Woy, we understand that the needs of each patient are different. The friendly and supportive culture at our practice caters to a diverse range of patients, including those who are extremely anxious or in need of emergency dental treatment.
Of course, we also cater to those patients who are taking proactive steps to maintain their oral health.
When Dr Joshi is away from the dental clinic, you will often find her exercising, bushwalking or going to the gym. When she’s relaxing, you will find her reading a good book or checking our new cuisine at local restaurants.
